My Social Media friends @SanNakji and @Wasabiwonder have tricked me into a photo a day challenge.



Actually I think this is going to be fun. I have been trying to track my meals, and at the very least I'll have record of one. Maybe this will inspire me to bring lunch to work instead of eating greasy Jolt & Bolt (which I do practically everyday). Lord knows there isn't a lot of selection in the Dogpatch neighborhood.



My first lunch photo is of Trader Joe's Spicy Thai Style Pasta Salad. This is seriously one of my favorite cheap eats from TJ's. I think the FlipDog will serve as my version of the Travelling Gnome.

The Party Invite

I'm allergic to cats. No way around it and no matter how much allergy medication I take, it can be a pretty miserable experience for me when I'm in the presence of a cat.

Lots of my friends have cats and I usually just grin and bare it when I visit their homes. I never touch them, and of course the cat will sense my fear and will promptly rub their body on my leg.

Which brings me to a recent conversation I had with Tom:

Tom: So, did you get my email about the party at B's house?

Me: Oh yeah. Sounds good, we're free.

Tom: Oh, so you want to go? I wasn't sure. I thought you might want to go because they're fundraising for Prop. 2

Me: What's Prop 2?

Tom: It involves animals.

Me: Oh really?

Tom: Yeah, it wants to make it illegal to cage animals in spaces where they can't even turn around or move

Me: Nice. We should definitely go!

Tom: Did I mention that they have cats?

Me: Oh...well, B is a clean freak so it'll be okay.

Tom: They have *seven* cats.

Me: SEVEN cats?!?!?! (mouth wide open)

Tom: Seven cats.

I can handle 2 or 3, but 7 cats is a bit daunting. I think we're going to the party, but we probably won't stay very long.

Happy Birthday Jango!

She is 5 years old today! I can't believe it's been a little over 4 years since we adopted her.  Time really does go by so fast because it seems like only yesterday when we met her in front of Petco at an adoption event.


Jango is pure love.

Just discovered Ana Laan on one of my favorite music sites, The Sixty One.

There's something really soothing about this song. Her style sounds a little like Lily Allen (but nicer), Bebel Gilberto, and Andrea Echeverri. You can check out a few more songs on Ana's MySpace page.
