Jesse James

Reading this blog you may have guessed I'm a TV Producer. I don't normally talk about it, mainly because I'll probably just bitch and complain about the long hours and low pay. I don't really want to do that, so I usually decide to make a brief mention long after the shoot is over.
However, today I feel compelled to talk a little bit about my recent shoot. The photo I've uploaded is from my latest production I finished called "A Plot to Kill Jesse James". It's my second western in a year.
We were on location in Easton, Kansas and St. Joseph, Missouri - 2 great towns with lots of friendly people (well, most of them - wish I could elaborate, but maybe next time). If you happen to need a western town, check out Western Frontier Adventure - good people, great little old west town, and great re-enactors.
The shoot was pretty ambitious, with a lot of loooong days, which is pretty typical for TV Production. It's an hour show and it should air around the same time that the Brad Pitt movie is released.
I really wish I had kept a journal about my daily experience, but I pretty much passed out whenever I got back to my hotel room. Although I had a lot of fun shooting a Colt .45 (safely into an open field), hanging out with really cool cowboys, and petting horses, I think I'm done. I'm just not really into westerns. Sorry guys!
Overall, I had a good experience, but I'm so glad to be home.
