I am mostly a homebody

Just ask my husband and my co-workers, I honestly don't like to go out anymore. I'm old, I own property and I like my couch & 52" HDTV. I don't really like to drink either, so what's the point? Although I'm in for a good restaurant and a nice glass of vino - home by 10:30pm, k?
I would love to see more shows (Raphael Saadiq at the Fillmore, for example), but I'm really choosy because I don't like to go out and because of that darn economy.
What shows are you going to see (if any) this year?

I can't make the excuse of having kids ('cause we don't have any), but sometimes I can blame needing to get home to Jango (the dog). Most of the time, I honestly like being at home. It's where I'm most comfortable and where I can relax (and I love to relax).
However, lately I've had some energy. On my calendar are A LOT of concerts I am attending, probably more than I've been to all last year. It's almost as if I have time warped and begun working for KFOG again. Ok, it's not really that drastic, but you get the point.
Here's my 2009 concert calendar (so far):
- Jan 17 - Jonathan Coulton, Great American Music Hall
- Jan 29 - Adele, Warfield
- Feb 6 - The Bird and The Bee, The Independent
- Feb 21 - Drop Kick Murphys (this is really Tom and Patrick and not me, but I'll add it anyways)
- Mar 12-16 - SXSW (who knows who I'll see in Austin, Adele is playing on the 12th)
- Mar 29 - Emiliana Torrini, The Independent
- Apr 4Â - Lily Allen, Warfield
- Apr 15 - The Ting Tings, Fillmore
- May 25 - Flight of the Concords, Berkeley Community Theater (Sugalumps FTW!)
I would love to see more shows (Raphael Saadiq at the Fillmore, for example), but I'm really choosy because I don't like to go out and because of that darn economy.

I'm 100% with you on being a homebody. Although I'd prefer to be home by 8pm.
i hope to go to some concerts this year..last year stayed home didnt go to any shows...but i already saw Shiny Toy Guns for free last weekend
I am not a natural homebody, but have become one over time because of Kiddo and getting up for work at 0530. But I get you--unless it's involving my BFFs, its hard to get me out. And I can't believe you'll be seeing the TingTings!
Homebodies unite!
A friend of mine wrote in one of his FB 25 things: "I’m often a cranky old man at rock shows these days, wishing the whole thing would have started earlier, that there weren’t 7 bands, and even sometimes that the band I came to see would just wrap it up, already (this also applies to shows in which I’m playing)."
I am so there with him.
Nevertheless! I'll be seeing The Bird and the Bee - mostly because the Independent is walking distance from my apt. ;)
I'll try to see:
Feb 14 - Master Musicians of Jajouka at Amoeba Records (free!)
Feb 17 - Don Caballero (the convenient Independent, again)
Feb 20 - Andrew Bird - Fillmore
Feb 21 - Drop Kick Murphys
My brother in Austin's trying to talk me into coming down for SXSW - I don't know if I can afford it, in these fun economic times.
Damn, I guess I'll need to put Flight of the Concords on the calendar as well.
I should have pointed out that I'm going to SXSW for work. So luckily that expense is taken care of for me.
The Ting Tings are amazing in concert. I just saw them last month!
So far all I have is the Wiggles in March. Usually I do two or three concerts a year, so far I have done two already...
