The Kate - my new laptop bag

I've been wanting to upgrade my laptop bag for some time now. I looked through all the listings (messenger bag, backpack, totes, etc) and finally came to the decision that I wanted a bag that could also be a purse.

I struggled between 3 different bags and briefly considered checkpoint friendly bags (I know, I know, that may come back to bite me later).

Rundown of laptop bags I considered:

The Kate (which I bought) - stylish and smaller than my current bag. Although it's a bit wider than what I really wanted, the combo of style and space in the bag (plus accessory pouch) and 35% off discount lured me in.

The Sumo - 13" women's laptop purse. This purse is very cute and even smaller than the Kate. But as someone that carries a lot in a purse, would it have held my other belongings? Plus it's slightly more expensive. Well, if the Kate doesn't work to my expectations, I might be re-ordering in the near future.

The Trixy - more casual and looks really durable, but pretty much the same size as The Kate, so again I went with the fashionable choice. Plus, it's slightly more expensive than both bags previously mentioned.

I also considered wheeled laptop bags, but I don't travel THAT much. Are there other bags out there (in the same price range) that I may have missed?

I'll know within a week whether or not I made the right choice.

Of the three, I do believe I like the Kate the best -- and I am intrigued by the discount, and the fact I just bought a 15.6" laptop, so it would fit -- alas, the cheapness of the laptop hardly justifies even the discounted price to carry it :)

Are the straps comfy? Would they still be comfy with a 6lb laptop and accessories? Comfy straps tempt me :P
