Keys Please!

Short post from me, but I'd like to report that we got our keys today! Yay! Tom and I are officially homeowners. Damn!
We're a movin' on up!
I wish I wasn't so tired because of work. I would've been less delirious and able to really enjoy the moment. Nevertheless, I'm so happy, and maybe it hasn't hit me yet that I'll be in debt for the rest of my life. Hmmmmm......

What's going down?

Hello people of 1 that may be reading this.
I thought a lot about posting over the last month, but I was kinda busy. I do spend a lot of time reading, surfing and downloading things on the web, but I just couldn't seem to find the time to post.
The Olympics are WAY over, but I enjoyed watching the events, even thought I knew the outcome 10 hours earlier (love that Yahoo! news). Since then I've been obsessed with the following: American Idol, Lost and Battlestar Galactica. Galactica is over till I think October (boo!), but I have plenty of A.I. and Lost to keep me happy.
Quick post about A.I. - I love grey haired man, Taylor, Paris, and Katherine. But what's not to love about Taylor? Damn, he's so fun to watch. He released an indie album right before A.I., and I have to say it's great! Here's one of his best performances. Even if you're not a fan of the song, only a person with a dead soul wouldn't have fun watching this.
As for the homefront - good news! We bought a condo in the land of our favorite baseball team - Oakland! I'm very excited, as we are living in an area of town that is walking distance to restaurants, cafes, and Lake Merritt! It's going to be a BIG transition for me, since I haven't lived outside of San Francisco for the last 15 years!
We abandoned the idea of buying a home in the Bay Area because the most desirable areas would have caused us large amounts of stress and possibly financial disaster - seriously!
Nevertheless, Tom & I are very anxious to move to a new town and into our own place!

State of the Family

Well, let's just face it. I'm not a great blogger. I get distracted easily. Life gets in the way of my hands typing about nothing, and posting on this site. But I pride myself with having small spurts of inspiration.
In the last 5 months I've done the following: helped produce a show about Vampires from start to finish, got dog sick with what ever flu-strain that hit just about everyone I know, got sick of the rental we currently live in due to structural damage that really messed with our lives, and finally, decided to go for one of the ultimate adult purchases - a home!
Yes, Tom & I put an offer on a house in the East Bay. It will be filed in two days, and by the end of the week we'll know if our offer is accepted. If we don't get it, I won't be surprised. However, if we do, I'll be very delighted. We'll be poor for the first year, but it'll be worth it! I'll write more about the house only if we get it. If we don't, I'll trash it in the next post and move on.
For now, we wait patiently and watch the closing ceremonies of the Olympics.
