The Void of the Blog

Lately, logging on to this wordpress account has been very difficult.  In fact, my Twitters and Pownce have become VERY infrequent the last few weeks.

Here's a rundown of my wherabouts:

-I rarely blog about work, but what I will say is that my freelance load has been plentiful, frustrating, and fun.  Thus leaving me hardly anytime to blog (and workout - Yikes!).

-Jango has had some bacteria infection which has caused a few sleepless nights

-my good friend Sarah has been on the brink of giving birth.  I'm happy to report that she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy two nights ago.  Mom, Pop, and Seamus are all doing well.

-Plus I've been sucked into: "Dancing with the Stars", "Heroes", "Private Practice", "Grey's Anatomy", and the MLB playoffs

I guess I've been focusing on work A LOT these days.  But blogging shouldn't be ignored. I know that.  I really do. My once a week pledge has already been broken - shame on me!

So here I am, trying to get back in the game.  Trying not to be so distant.   I just hit "restart".

Dear Eileen (final),

Earlier this week I did receive a response from my Dot Mac Specialist and I thought I would close this issue with every piece of correspondence as documentation. Did I really not give them enough info to help me?
Hello Eileen,

I am glad to hear that you resolved your issue.

Removing the SyncServices folder is a way to resolve syncing issues that are being caused by the underlying syncing engine being damaged. Unfortunately, without knowing your specific .Mac Sync issue (experienced in addition to your iPhone syncing issue), I could not give such troubleshooting steps out as they will not fix all syncing issues.

The post that you found is actually relating information from the following support article:

.Mac: Troubleshooting syncing issues or issues in the .Mac preferences Sync or Advanced pane
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306122

If you require any further assistance with .Mac Sync, feel free to reply to this email and let me know.

My phone is still syncing and working quite well - thank goodness!

Dear Apple (the final e-mail),

After a week of frustration, I finally had some time to look through the Apple forums myself and found a post (see below) that helped me use iSync again. My contacts and calendar are back on my iPhone - hooray! (Although I really found myself liking google calendar). If you ever have the same problem, try the solution below.

So, thanks for nothing Apple.

E

PS - I emailed my "dot mac specialist" the post below
