SXSW arrival day

SXSW arrival day

Originally uploaded by EileenRose

Well, here we go. I'll be in Austin from Thurs. March 12 - Mon. March 16th.

I'm here strictly for Scam School and I anticipate it'll be a wild couple of days of shooting. The day is downtime and the evenings are my shoot times.

Here's my schedule:

Fri - Attend Brian's SXSW panel 5p-6p; shoot episodes of Scam School, 7:30p-10:30p at Fadó Austin, 214 W 4th Street

Sat - Live Scam School open for Diggnation, Stubbs 6p-mid

Sun - Scam School Episodes at Nomad Bar, 6p-10p

Mon - go home!

I think it'll be really fun, but not as fun as it will be for those who are attending the conference and partying all night long! Ha.

More updates later.

A vacation video - from Nov. 2007

This took me forever and a day to post. But it's finally up and full of HD glory.

Enjoy!

Raising Arizona

Our jaunt is over (cue the violins), so sad. Attending spring training games was the hook, but truthfully, we just wanted to hang out with our friend Doug and Pauline.

spring training '08

Highlights:

-watching the games wearing shorts and flip-flops!

-Dinner every night. Yeah, we ate well: (Mi Nidito, La Roca, and Don & Carley's)

-crossing the Mexican border on foot and crossing train tracks in the dark to get to our destination: La Roca restaurant

-meeting a young Cuban defector who is now playing for the White Sox = Alexi Ramirez

-our last day at the Westin Kierland Hotel & Resort - it's nice to enjoy a little luxury livin'

Every time I travel I try to envision living in the area. But I have to say, Arizona is just not for me. This girl has gotta have the ocean nearby!

This long weekend was a nice break from the construction and complete chaos in our home, but it's nice to be back and reunited with our Jango :)

Dos Mil y Siete Anos - a short review

It's a new year, but before I really dive into 2008, I feel I must pause to review a few personal highlights:

  • Tom & I are home remodeling-challenged. Does that even make sense? Seriously, If I get a room remodeled in my house I will accomplish what seems like the impossible. But before I knock us down, he CAN change light fixtures and I do well with a paint brush. Crown molding and tile? Well, that's another story.

  • Bathroom remodel vs. Maui Time Share - Time Share won

  • Cafe con Leche is a morning ritual - thanks Barcelona!

  • The fall season = another weird Jango malady and a vet bill that stings (but she's worth it)

  • The A's are rebuilding till they get their new stadium - and I'm not a happy fan

  • Juno was my favorite movie of 2007

  • I love video editing
